The LeadingCampings of Europe are regarded as quality leaders and innovation drivers in the outdoor hospitality industry. Founded in 1994, the cooperation currently consists of 37 independent campsites in the upscale 4 to 5-star category in ten European countries (Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, France, Croatia, Portugal, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Denmark), including smaller, family-run facilities with a capacity of 200 pitches and luxury camping worlds for over 10,000 guests. In 2021, the sites recorded around 10 million overnight stays. One thing which they all have in common, is that they are all owner-managed, family-operated businesses with a particular focus on their guests. Many of the Leading Campings are already half a century old. They have taken their time to mature, but have never missed the opportunity of being one of the first to introduce innovations to ensure an even more comfortable, more active, more relaxing holiday to their guests. LeadingCampings is now the “most prestigious group" in European camping - ­ no other has collected more international awards and distinctions.
