The Big Sky is an NCAA Division I member in all sports, with member institutions classified in the Football Championship Subdivision (formally I-AA). The current league membership includes Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Sacramento State and Weber State. Northern Colorado is the newest member of the league, having joined the conference in 2006.
