Sarah Cannon Molecular Diagnostics is a specialist laboratory within HCA Healthcare UK. We offer a range of molecular tests - both DNA and RNA - to help patients with cancer find the right treatments and therapies. We can also match those patients to suitable clinical trials both within the Sarah Cannon Research Institute and nationwide. Our core tests use Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology. This allows us to examine multiple genes within a tumour simultaneously to help us understand what is driving the cancer. We can then understand which treatments may, or may not work, and so offer patients a truly personalized medicine based on their cancer's genetics.
