The Highline Schools Foundation for Excellence was established in 1999 with the purpose of providing community resources to help Highline Public Schools succeed. We believe that by helping to enrich the classroom and school experience, we can engage students to reach a higher level of learning, and the entire community will benefit. The Foundation is governed by a dedicated group of volunteer Trustees and is the only 501(c)(3) organization supporting all Highline Public Schools. The Foundation strives to be the single point of contact for community members, local and national business, service organizations and other foundations to connect their philanthropic efforts with a single school or the entire district. The mission of the Highline Schools Foundation is “providing community resources to help Highline Public Schools succeed”. The Foundation’s purpose is to secure resources that will enhance education for all students in the district. The Foundation shall insure that revenue, goods, services and other contributions, will to every extent possible have broad utilization, and substantially equal distribution throughout the schools in Highline Public Schools. Our long-term goals are to improve student success by supporting Academic achievement, College & career readiness & Enriched learning experiences. We support educators through classroom grants, recognition, & professional development. Our short-term goal is to raise funds for Academic Achievement, Classroom Enrichment; The Arts; Athletics; College & Career Readiness; Recognition; & Community Programs Highline Schools Foundation for Excellence values: * An environment that helps all students reach their highest potential * Educators and community members that are empowered to bridge educational gaps in the district * The diversity and ethnicity of the district of our community * Giving back in ways that make a real difference to students and the district
