Sagely Health | Cancer Guidance
www.sagelyhealth.comCancer patients should not be left to search the Internet on their own, trying to find the hope. We uncover and connect cancer patients to the experts, clinical trials, and innovative treatments that are the best match for them. Eight years ago, we started serving cancer patients with personalized care plans. We wanted patients to be meticulously matched to both standard treatments and clinical trials. For each patient we guided, we provided unbiased, personalized information: > Which doctors to see > What treatments to seek > What questions to ask And it worked. By factoring in the cancer type, the stage, the genetics, the treatment history, and the patient’s preferences, we were able to guide patients to their best possible outcome. In an internal study of 100 patients we’ve guided, we found our recommendations worked. In 89% of cases, the patient enrolled in a clinical trial or had another significant change to their treatment plan. Our patients are living longer. Eighty-eight percent have already outlived their expected survival. On average, patients have lived 2 years beyond their documented expected survival. As we continue to monitor still-living patients, we expect this number to go up. Our patients enroll in clinical trials 30% of the time — 10 times that of the national average. Today, we are tracking every single type of cancer treatment. From the standard treatments covered by health insurance to clinical trials that are available across the United States, we help patients understand their best options. For each of these trials, we are tracking the science, the enrollment, the results, and exact types of patients that are responding to treatments. This is the medicine of tomorrow and yet it will be years, if not decades, before it reaches the general public. For too many, that will be too late. All the innovative treatments we consider are available to US residents with the costs covered by health insurance or the trial’s sponsor.
