CEIR is an acronym for “Center for Enterprise Information Research”. It is a cooperation project between two research groups at the University of Koblenz-Landau: the Business Software Research Group and the Enterprise Information Management Research Group. CEIR has the aim of bringing together Industry and University in joint research projects, which are geared at relevant findings that can be applied successfully in practice. IndustryConnect is currently the main initiative of CEIR. The project was launched in the year 2015 and facilitates the exchange of experiences among user companies under the moderation of the University. IndustryConnect addresses current problems and issues in the area of "Collaboration" i.e. the joint work and active knowledge exchange among employees in a company using Enterprise Collaboration Systems. IndustryConnect goes beyond the usual experience groups, round tables or business lunches. The participating researchers continue their work on the topics between the meetings and make the results available in the form of documents, methods, techniques and guidelines.
