Mission: Marion Regional Career Center will develop in every student (relevant) technical, academics and job readiness skills. GENERAL INFORMATION Career and technical education courses help students explore their interests and career possibilities, and prepare for a career of interest. Content of career and technical education courses includes academic subject matter taught with relevance to the real world, job-related activities and workplace ethics. At MRCC, CTE students can earn high school credit and college credit while working toward a specific nationally recognized certification. Most Career & Technical Education programs are 3 credits per semester. All programs are open to Junior and Senior students, with the exception of ICE and CNA which is only open to senior students, with additional pre-requisites. Students in grade 10 will be admitted with permission on an individual basis if there is room in the program requested. All programs are offered both morning (a.m.) and afternoon (p.m.) unless otherwise noted. EARN COLLEGE CREDITS WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL Because of articulation agreements with post-secondary schools, high school students are able to earn college credits as well as high school credits while attending class at MRCC.
