www.fasngo.orgFounded in 1996, Femmes Africa Solidarité (FAS) is a leading international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Our organizations maintain offices in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Senegal, Switzerland, and New York. Since our inception, our work has been guided by the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325. Thus, making women peace and security our area of intervention. With the vision of “Engendering peace processes for the attainment of human security and durable peace in Africa.” By mobilizing the power of women to forge peace and drive prosperity in Africa. Our main objectives includes building networks among women and strengthening their capacities; highlighting women’s initiatives to participate equally in efforts to establish and maintain peace in their countries; Advocating for women’s equal access, equal responsibility, and equal opportunity to participate in decision-making; coordinating and reinforcing coalitions of women to increase their influence on policies and practices in Africa, and documenting and sharing lessons learnt by women in conflict resolution and peace building.
