ffu.vse.czThe Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the Prague University of Economics and Business was established on 1 July 1991 on the basis of organizational changes of the whole University of Economics in Prague. The core of the faculty was created from the original Department of Finance and Credit and from the Accounting Department. At present, the faculty consists of seven departments: Department of Banking and Insurance, Department of Corporate Finance and Valuation, Department of Financial Accounting and Auditing, Department of Monetary Theory and Policy, Department of Managerial Accounting, Department of Public Finance and Department of Economic Education. The primary mission of the faculty is to provide university education in accredited degree programs, to develop scientific research and to carry out habilitation procedures and procedures for the appointment of professors in accredited fields. In order to fulfill its mission, the Faculty develops cooperation with other universities, state institutions, business and other entities at national and international level. The Faculty also develops other activities such as lifelong learning or complementary activities, particularly in the field of custom-made corporate education and contract research. The Faculty of Finance and Accounting currently has approximately 90 academic staff and over 2,600 students are enrolled in all study programs.
