First established in 1975, REIN is a registered charity with a mission to eliminate racial discrimination and promote equality of opportunity, justice and good relations between persons of different racial groups in the London Borough of Newham and beyond. Our objectives are clear - to work with partners and stakeholders to eliminate discrimination and promote equalities, and this is at the heart of the ethos of our work with communities across Newham. Our work includes the development of equalities case work, continuing to progress educational support work on equalities issues within schools, delivering youth projects to support young people, and building partnerships to grow services and ensure equalities is at the forefront of community engagement. We also own The Mix, our purpose built youth and community facility from which we deliver bespoke and innovative projects, programmes and activities for local people in Plaistow and across Newham.
