Founded in 2017 by former NHL Enforcer for the Philadelphia Flyers, Riley Cote, BodyChek Wellness is a line of premium hemp extract products and functional mushroom blends designed to assist with physical health, wellness, and the recovery process. Cote began rethinking the recovery process during his professional career in the NHL. His hockey days were spent getting his hands dirty the “old fashion way”, fighting on the ice as an Enforcer. With more than 50 fights and 411 penalty minutes, being a physical player was part of his role; however, making the opponent “feel his presence” came at a cost. Putting his body on the line and sacrificing his wellbeing for the betterment of his team resulted in constant physical pain, countless concussions, mental anxiety and a laundry list of bodily injuries. Rather than relying on pharmaceuticals for pain management, Cote turned to hemp-based solutions.
