Windsor & Eton Brewery

www.webrew.co.uk

Brewing is our passion, it’s in our blood, it’s in our name too – webrew.co.uk! Windsor ales were once famous amongst rich and poor alike. When Burge’s Brewery closed its doors in 1931, it brought to an end a tradition of Windsor brewing that had lasted for well over 300 years. In just seven weeks we managed to create a new brewery from scratch. On the 1st March 2010, St David’s Day, we began installing the brewing vessels and on 23rd April 2010, St George’s Day, Guardsman Best Bitter was on sale in pubs. Seventy-nine years after the closure of Windsor’s last brewery, beer was back! Our ambition is simple – to make Windsor famous again as a brewer of some of the finest and most talked about beers in the country. We have had so much help and encouragement – too many to mention by name but special mention must go to our Duke Street neighbours, publicans, CAMRA, drinkers of all ages and our amazing Knight Club members, Facebook fans and Twitter followers. So why do we brew? Because we get to make beer that people love and because it’s a lot more fun than any other job we have done We hope you continue having as much pleasure drinking them as we have making them.
