Burshtyn Local Economic Development Agency (LEDA) is nonpolitical, nonprofit organization that makes a significant impact on a sustainable growth of the welfare of Burshtyn city and Halych district communities on the basis of public-private partnerships and social responsibility. Burshtyn LEDA was founded in 2012 in frames of the Social partnership program of company DTEK and Burshtyn city. Burshtyn LEDA aims to implement best case practices in business sphere, energy efficiency and community development to boost social and economic development of Burshtyn town and Halych district (Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine). Main tasks of Burshtyn LEDA: • Establishment of cooperation with institutions, organizations, grant makers, business representatives and public authorities to support a common dialogue • Creation of business infrastructure • Implementation of financial mechanisms to support local businesses • Implementation of informational, educational and promotional activities to increase business competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the region • Conduction of educational activities to increase awareness in the field of energy efficiency • Implementation of energy management in the budgetary institutions of the city • Promotion of effective methods for housing management • Youth initiative and civil society development • Assisting in implementation of Social partnership strategy of company DTEK and Burshtyn city
