The research at STAR Lab is dedicated to the advancement of the Intelligent Transportation Systems. The lab focuses on many different research areas such as Traffic Detection, Remote Sensing, Big-Data Analytics, and Traffic Operations. The research in the lab leverages the increasing amount of transportation data availability in recent years, for understanding underlying patterns and behavioral changes in the transportation world. In addition, with the fast paced developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence , the lab research is also focused on application and adaptation of Artificial Intelligence to Transportation Engineering.
