What makes us different is we work with our clients ahead of time to help maximize your budget, and offer insights and assistance in planning out your show. By reviewing floor plans, equipment lists, and schedules ahead of time we can help ensure that there are no surprises onsite and that your production comes off without a hitch. We start every project by reviewing our clients materials (RFP, schedule, floor plans) and outlining a comprehensive budget that ensures all appropriate union labor is engaged. From the truck unload at the dock all the way through to the final pack on the load out we can help engage all of the required production labor. We’ll evaluate schedules to help identify potential cost savings (avoiding meal penalties, short turns, etc) and make sure that all required personnel is included in the budget. As the employer of record, we are responsible for all payroll, benefits, taxes, liability and workers comp insurance. The Labor Connection has experience in all of the major hotels and convention centers throughout Chicago. We can help guide you through from making sure your driver knows which dock to use (and how to get there), to ensuring adequate coverage when using roving techs to cover multiple rooms.
