CanmetENERGY in Varennes is a clean-energy technology research centre, located near Montreal, that leads programs and provides scientific and technical expertise in the areas of buildings and communities (intelligent buildings as well as heating and cooling); industrial process optimization; and smart grid and solar photovoltaic energy. The Centre also manages the development of the world-class RETScreen International Clean Energy Management Software. We design and implement innovative clean energy solutions that help produce and use energy in ways that are more efficient and sustainable. We work closely with industry, government and academic partners, lending our expertise through partnerships and collaborations in research and development.
