Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest interdisciplinary student associations in Europe. The network has around 12.000 active members that are in many sections supported by so called buddies mainly taking care of international students. Thus, ESN involves around 29.000 young people offering its services to around 160.000 international students every year. ESN is operating on three levels: local, national, and international. The organization works for the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment by supporting and developing the student exchange from different levels under the principle of Students Helping Students. In ESN Maribor we deal on one hand with integration and the well-being of foreign students who come to a study exchange or a practical training in Maribor, and on the other hand, we enable the local young people to interact with different cultures of the world, promoting mobility and offer them a wide range of practical experience through active participation in the activities of the ESN Maribor association. Annually we help more than 500 foreign students to integrate into their new environment.
