New City Arts is a community arts organization founded in 2009 to support artists and facilitate cultural participation in Charlottesville, VA. Believing in the life-giving and community-building work of the arts, New City Arts is working to make Charlottesville a more livable place for artists by creating connections between artists and unique audiences through creative conversations, art spaces, and community-building collaborations. New City Arts serves approximately 50 Charlottesville area artists and 6,000 audience members through core programs including Welcome Gallery, Charlottesville SOUP, New City’s Artist Exchange, Housing2Home with The Haven, New City’s Artist-in-Residence Studio, New City Arts and Crafts, and The Maker’s Series.
