Shopit is 'The Shopping Search Engine' and our ambition is to gather all products, retailers and brands available online in one shopping start page. Also allowing you to save products you like and own, invite friends, share, get advice, and use other social shopping functionality. Our pilot market is Sweden, but the goal is to cover all of Europe. We have created the worlds largest product taxanomy of over 50.000 detailed product categories, and with our search technology developed in-house we can automaticly crawl, categorize and extract product properties to create the worlds largest database of products. We also have developed a search personalization system named 'Shopping DNA' to macth these products for the individual consumer user. Shopit makes one of modern humanity's basic needs – finding and buying products – a whole lot easier. Shopit Online Europe AB was founded by serial entrepreneur Mathias Axlén (fd Ivarsson). The project was sprung form the sister company SiteDirect which has been awarded several fast growth awards like Dagens Industri Gasell 2010-2013, Veckans Affärer Superföretag 2013 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 in Europe 2010, 2011.
