Pierre du Bois Foundation
www.fondation-pierredubois.chThe Pierre du Bois Foundation aims to promote and support research in the area of Current History. It provides access to relevant books, journals and documents for students and researchers and awards scholarships, research and publication grants, as well as the Prix Pierre du Bois. Through the organisation of public conferences and symposia, it seeks to encourage exchanges among researchers and the creation of networks. The Foundation was established after the premature death of Professor Pierre du Bois in 2007. An expert of European integration and contemporary international relations, Pierre du Bois was Professor of International History and Politics at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva. He had hoped to create this foundation himself, but was not able to carry out his wish: too busy living life, he was not aware how little time he had left... The Pierre du Bois Foundation seeks to perpetuate his passionate, probing, and multidimensional, both challenging and very human, approach to research. The Foundation is centred on a community of researchers united by common interests and projects. To enable its future evolution and growth, the Pierre du Bois Foundation invites scholars from all disciplines to participate in its activities and to contribute to its development.
