The Children’s Home of Stockton (CHS) provides a home away from home for those who children who need it most, as its mission is to give at-risk youth an opportunity for a productive life through treatment and education in a safe, nurturing environment. CHS is one of the largest social services organizations in Stockton. We are Medi-Cal certified as a Specialty Mental Health Provider and offer Transition Aftercare services. CHS has served approximately 200 at-risk youth each year in California, for over 137 years. As the highest level of care for foster youth, we provide intensive therapeutic services so each student can enhance their quality of life and have a place where they feel safe, supported, and happy, and offer needed support so every child has the chance to be successful and thrive as a productive member of the community. As the largest STRTP in San Joaquin County, CHS offers Specialty Mental Health Services in a 52-bed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). In addition, it provides on-campus one.Vision classes operated by the San Joaquin Office of Education. CHS is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
