Regional Transportation Alliance
www.letsgetmoving.orgThe Regional Transportation Alliance is a unique organization in the broader Research Triangle area of North Carolina, recognized as the business leadership group that provides a strategic, action-oriented focus and a powerful, collaborative voice to advance regional transportation solutions. Fostering dialogue between top business and civic leaders to move the mobility agenda forward helps our area remain one of the most desirable places to live, work, and raise a family. The Regional Transportation Alliance has successfully championed advancements in critical freeway, turnpike, transit, intersection, and air service priorities through partnership between elected officials and transportation partners whose goal is to solve transportation and mobility issues facing the region. RTA was founded by the Cary, Chapel Hill-Carrboro, Durham, and Raleigh Chambers of Commerce in 1999 and formalized in 2001. Today, RTA consists of more than 100 leading businesses and 23 member chambers, along with the two metropolitan planning organizations for transportation (MPOs), Triangle Transit, and Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The RTA is a regional program of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce with a separate, dues-paying membership.
