Consorci Sociosanitari d’Igualada (CSSI) is a consortium that offers a wide number of care services to elderly people in the city of Igualada, province of Barcelona, and its surroundings. It manages the Residència Pare Vilaseca (an assisted living residence and nursing home with 152 beds), the retirement apartment complexes ViuB1 and ViuB2 (two buildings with 66 and 71 flats each of them, for independent living), the Hospital de dia Sant Jordi (a partial hospitalization center for the treatment of the Alzheimer's disease and other illnesses), three adult daycare centers (2 in Igualada and 1 in Piera), the Servei d’Atenció Domiciliaria (in-home care services), the Servei d‘Àpats a Domicili (home-delivered meals service) and the 4D Health Innovation Simulation Center. With 200 employees, the CSSI provides services to more than 1200 persons every year, with a revenue of 6,5 Million €. The CSSI was founded in 2004 by the Igualada Municipality and the Consorci de Salut i Social de Catalunya with the mission of ensuring the quality of life of the elderly and dependant people, providing services of maximum quality with the recognition of the users, families, professionals and institutions. The CSSI core values are the desire to serve the elderly and dependant, humane treatment, transparency, objectivity in decision-making, management efficiency, a balanced financial state, environmental respect, recognition of the professionals who work in the organization promoting the pride of belonging and providing equal opportunities for users, employees and suppliers.
