Our Mission Cooperative industry partners dedicated to advancing anatomical pathology to benefit patient care by advocating and fostering quality, education, and best practices. Corporate Establishment APPIA is an independent not-for-profit corporation established for the purpose of advancing best practices in anatomical pathology through education and advocacy with the goal of improving patient outcomes. Leadership APPIA is governed by a Board of Directors composed of industry leaders engaged in anatomical pathology, and who can make meaningful contributions to the high-level focus areas of patient safety, quality assurance and standardization in the field of anatomical pathology.
