Clinics For Kids
www.clinicsforkids.comWe believe in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, we believe in thinking differently. According to the World Health Organisation, half of the world still lacks coverage for the most essential health services. Our track record of offering dental services to more than 1,000 children in rural Uganda in 2019 on a $10 per child budget demonstrates our unique ability to treat an enormous number of patients at an extremely low cost. This success has inspired us to expand our offering to include medicine and optometry in addition to dentistry. Through partnerships between Sydney University, Griffith University, QUT and Goroka Hospital in Papua New Guinea our ‘Eastern Highlands Project 2020’ will demonstrate a new standard in student led interstate and interuniversity collaboration in the not-for-profit health space. Clinics For Kids is a team of volunteer medical, dental and optometry students and professionals united in our ambition of increasing access to health care in some of the most rural and disadvantaged communities globally. -Uganda Project 2019 -Eastern Highlands Project 2020 - Papua New Guinea
