Hello! Thank you for your interest in CRJ. In the early days of our business, we purchased and partnered with a geneticist to obtain CBG seeds. Our team quickly learned the CBG strain was inconsistent, contained auto-flower, and yielded low germ rates (the list goes on!). Of the 25k CBG seeds purchased, only 7k proved to be the best of the best. This result taught us - seed stability is not something we could easily purchase, but only something we could create. We pivoted our initial seed strategy, and allowed time for the seeds to mature, and then we: grew them, flipped them, grew them, and flipped them again. CRJ’s Experience Our co-founder is a breeder aka a mad scientist. He bred his first seed at the age of 15 (he’s now 51). He’s been responsible for growing and improving more than 38 different varieties of hemp and cannabis. Not to mention, he’s a technologist. He invented and patented our grow system in 153 countries. This makes it very easy for us to identify phenotypes quickly and remove the good from the bad. The efficiency of our technology allows us to pass on cost savings to our customers.
