The CoHero Institute
www.cohero-institute.comSuccessful organizations develop their leaders with more than individual leadership skills. Collaborative leadership skills are also essential in today’s dynamic organizations. The Cohero Collaborative Leadership Framework helps leaders understand their unique strengths within the context of the organization’s overall requirements for learning, management, and leadership. Our name, Cohero, comes from the Latin “Cohaere:” to connect, to embrace, to adhere, to stick, to join. Our effectiveness as leaders is determined in large measure by our willingness and ability to truly connect with those we wish to lead. The ‘o’ at the end of our name makes it a first person verb meaning, “I connect, I embrace, ….” Our name also evokes the importance of collaboration (or Co-heroics). While acts of individual heroics are important, they often stem from breakdowns and failures that effective collaboration could have avoided. We help leaders know themselves so they recognize and understand how they can lead and collaborate more effectively. And we help organizations see how to leverage their leadership teams to optimize collaborations and results. Our approach comes from a philosophy where we recognize there are different types of leaders, and an organization needs them all.
