SAINTGITS Institute of Management (SIM) is a research focused Business School affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education under the aegis of Saintgits College of Engineering. The mission of SIM is reflected in our motto—'Dare to Innovate and Learn to Execute'—and since its inception in 2006 SIM has stayed true to its mission and made significant contributions to its students and society. SIM has a strong faculty base which includes nine Ph. D. holders and three M. Phil. graduates with an average experience of 15.8 years including an average industrial experience of 8.7 years. The institute offers MBA programme and Ph. D. in Management. The institute champions hard skills with equal passion and conducts 12 Value Added Courses of which ERP and Six Sigma are the most important ones. There is also a tremendous focus on global exposure and the institute provides an opportunity to the students to study short duration courses with students of Duquesne, and California Institute of Technology of USA. Enabling the student, a smooth transition into the corporate world is a major concern here and therefore trains the student for this goal in mind. The placement results speak volumes on how the Institute has been successful in placing all its students right from the pioneering batch of 2006. The synthesis of teaching and research is fundamental to SIM which has been active in encouraging the creation and exchange of knowledge through innovative and practical research. Much of this faculty-driven research takes place through professional and academic conferences and symposia that focus on areas that are of industrial and academic interest. Two centers of research- Centre for Financial Services and Centre for Sustainable Business & Tourism harnesses the expertise and imagination of leading academics and decision-makers to create practical solutions in industrial research and consultancy.
