Founded in 2014, the GCC is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) conference based in Southern California sponsoring a six-team men's division and an eight-team women's division. Men compete in the fall and conclude with annual championship in late November while the women compete in the spring with annual championship in late April. Winners of both championships earn an automatic bid to the National Collegiate Water Polo Championships.
