McKinley Children's Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has been caring for society's most vulnerable children since 1900. McKinley brings a wide spectrum of healing, teaching and skill development to children and families who have been victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment and trauma, through their residential treatment center, non-public school, foster and adoption services, and community mental health services programs. McKinley welcomes infants, children, adolescents and young adults and their families, in need of treatment and services. The Center’s comprehensive counseling and education programs provides the much support and treatment needed to recover from painful pasts in order to build a positive future. Each child’s and family’s road to recovery is different, but children who are in McKinley’s residential treatment program may remain between six to 12 months with longer time in treatment in McKinley’s other treatment programs. The goal of each of McKinley’s treatment programs is for the children and their families to complete these programs and successfully transition to a more productive and successful family and community life.
