Who We Are __________________________________ Kenya Co-operative Coffee Exporters Limited (KCCE) was founded in June 2009 as a national Co-operative Society 100% owned by the Co-operative Movement and registered under the Co-operative Societies Act of 2004 Licensed as a Coffee Marketing Agent by Coffee Board of Kenya. It was formed to empower Kenyan smallholder coffee farmers to have more control over marketing of their produce in order to realize higher net returns by addressing various challenges that affect the coffee subsector: production, quality, marketing and coffee value addition. The Objective of KCCE ___________________________________ 1. To promote, organize and undertake the marketing and value addition of coffee (and such other products and commodities as the Cooperative may decide in Future) 2. To operate in both the local and export markets in order to maximize returns to farmers and producers and thereby promote their social economic welfare To run an inclusive business model, KCCE has two subsidiaries: 1. Kenya Co-operative Coffee Dealers Ltd Deals with: a) Coffee value addition -Roasting and packaging of coffee for export and retail business under the brand names Shiriki Coffee, Kencaffee Export & Kenya Coop Coffee b) Trade in Green coffee bean 2.
