HSO - Herts Schools Outreach
www.hertsschoolsoutreach.org.uk“Enhancing Positive Mental Health Change”. At HSO, children and young people are more than the difficulties they experience or the challenges they bring to environments, they are individuals to be valued, nurtured, and encouraged to be the best they can be. Everyone deserves the opportunity to find the best of who they are, and for some, this comes with support and guidance. It is important they are equipped with these skills and mindset to enable them to be successful in all aspects of their lives. The core aim of HSO is to provide children and young people with ongoing support using early intervention techniques, for them to be heard and to have a safe space to talk on a 1:1 basis. We strive to provide a person-centred approach with tailored sessions to enable individuals to identify and develop their sense of self-worth, self-esteem and confidence. We aim to equip the children and young people we support with the ability to explore different strategies that encourage safe behaviour choices. These strategies are developed collaboratively with the children and young people, ensuring they are easily accessible for them to utilise effectively throughout their lives. We are there to help identify the individual needs of the children and young people we support and explore potential triggers, with a view to them being able to help themselves and learn to be independent. Working closely with parents, carers and education settings, we guarantee to offer a respectful, inclusive, supportive and collaborative line of communication with an emphasis on safeguarding every individual. We are working to educate people on the power of good mental health and ways they can support themselves to achieve this. Our team of consultants have a wealth of experience and knowledge and are driven by the measurable progress and success of the individuals we support.
