FodaBox, originally known as BoroughBox, began life as an independent online marketplace connecting consumers with independent food and drink producers in the UK. The platform was launched as a response to the scalability challenges faced by many small and independent businesses - but has since grown to feature a wide variety of products and services. At the heart of our business now sits a rapidly growing 3PL (3rd party logistics) fulfilment division, whereby we warehouse and service a wide range of food and drink products from a large number of brands. By providing essential D2C and B2B fulfilment services we have built long-lasting, effective relationships with brands. We strive to be the De Facto fulfilment partner in this area and continue investing in physical and digital infrastructure to complement the intricacies of handling these types of goods. Our dedicated distribution (trade and wholesale) arm operates symbiotically with 3PL, offering brands a unique, cost-reducing opportunity to have a single partner for both warehousing and distribution. Brands can go straight from manufacturer to our warehouse servicing their own orders but, crucially, we also actively represent their products on a trade and wholesale basis. The less movement of goods for brands, the fewer miles their products need to travel and therefore the less cost they incur and less margin they lose. Fodabox represents a new and innovative approach to supporting and promoting independent food and drink businesses in the domestic (UK) and international markets and is well-positioned to play an important role in the sector's continued growth and success.
