The Dayton Society of Natural History is the parent organization for the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park, and Fort Ancient Earthworks and Nature Preserve (managed on behalf of Ohio History Connection). At the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery visitors can participate in hands-on science in the DO-Lab, watch a demonstration in Science Theater, slide down the static slide, float a boat in the water table, visit our live animal zoo, or view images of Earth and space in Science On a Sphere®. See what fun learning can be at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Features educational programs for toddlers through adults in fields of science and culture. At SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park, explore an 800-year-old reconstructed American Indian Village, located along the Great Miami River in Dayton, OH. Includes an Interpretive Center and features regular special events and activities. Visit SunWatch.org to learn more! At Fort Ancient Earthworks and Nature Preserve, discover Ohio's ancient past at this 2,000-year-old site comprised of 3 1/2 miles of earthworks that were constructed over a nearly 400 year period. The museum encompasses 15,000 years of Ohio history, and offers a hands-on classroom and access to a prehistoric-themed garden.
