The seeds of our work were planted over a decade ago at Riverdale, where we began as a lab dedicated to challenging the status quo within K-12 education. Nurtured by the Riverdale community and an incredible roster of partners, we’ve evolved into a hub for innovation, capturing and amplifying new insights and translating research into practice. We aim to support teaching and learning for everyone, in any context, through thought partnership, prototyping and building, and knowledge sharing. Our flexible team model features a core group of practitioners and designers supported by an evolving roster of exceptional talent. To date, our portfolio has included projects from around the globe, from designing schools in Hanoi and São Paulo to launching free tools used by educators worldwide. And while we are proud of where we’ve been, we are even more excited about where we’re heading. Our ambition is to expand our role as an incubator, funding inventive concepts and programs, and to become a leading model of open-source research and resources for schools to replicate across the globe
