With more than 100 acres of hi-tech glasshouse production in the UK and Spain, Tangmere Airfield Nurseries Ltd is one of Europe’s largest sweet pepper nurseries. We specialise in growing, packing and distributing top quality sweet bell peppers to the UK’s major retailers and fresh produce markets. Established in the late 1980’s, the family-run business is based on the former Battle of Britain airfield, originally home to RAF Tangmere in Chichester, West Sussex. Our site in Extremadura, Spain, supplements our British crop in winter to provide a continuous supply of peppers all year-round. Our aim has always been to run a sustainable, horticulture business with passion and integrity. We continually invest in trialling new pepper varieties and innovative technologies to achieve the best results possible. State-of-the-art facilities ensure total efficiency with robust food safety and quality management systems to maintain the very highest standards – based on over thirty years’ experience and expertise.
