What’s up, Uptown! SUPtown Music & Arts — located in the artistic neighborhood of Washington Heights, Manhattan — sits atop the 187th Street stairs between Fort Washington and Pinehurst. Beginning in the Fall of 2019, we will open our doors to offer the finest Music Lessons, Art Classes, and local concerts; in our second facility, built to reflect the creative spirit of Washington Heights. With the George Washington Bridge sitting between our two locations (and on our logo), we have taught more than 30,000 music lessons, art classes, ensemble rehearsals, workshops; and hosted more than 50 public concerts. The instruments we offer include piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, flute, saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, voice, and koto. Our art classes include drawing, model making, games, and a young developer and architect program. We accept students of all ages; children between 3 and 18 years old, college students, adults, and senior citizens. All are welcome. We strive to inspire every student to reach their full potential through our teaching motto — "Where Fun Meets Challenging!"
