The Clerk of the Court & Comptroller is an independently elected public trustee established by the Florida Constitution. The Clerk is responsible for safeguarding public records and public funds for the people of Lee County. In addition to the role of Clerk of the Circuit Court, the Clerk is the County Recorder, Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, and the Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Auditor for Lee County.
