Stockholm Model United Nations (SMUN) is the youth organisation behind the largest MUN conference in Scandinavia. We attract some 300 young people from top universities both in Sweden and abroad each year. These students went through a competitive application process to participate as delegates in SMUN, a simulation of the real UN and other international organisations. SMUN brings together young people to discuss and engage in the global political issues of today. We achieve this with a variety of activities. This includes our flagship annual Stockholm Model United Nations conference as well as our Young Talents Program, which engages young high school and university students by putting them alongside the influential individuals and organisations in foreign affairs today. What we offer demands much of the participants in terms of knowledge and diplomacy; the pay-off, however, is one which sets them apart in their future careers. SMUN is where interest is turned into involvement, and theory is turned into practice.
