Hong Kong egg waffle is one of her favourite street food but when that belly started to grow, waiting in a long queue in the hot, humid Hong Kong weather started to become a difficult task. David tried surprising her at home with an egg waffle from her favourite shop, but no matter how quickly he rushed home, it just didn't have the same crispiness and freshness. He started recalling the times during his school days when his mother would make batches of waffles and freeze them for future meals. The waffles would taste just like fresh once they were reheated. A light bulb went off in his head "can the Hong Kong-style egg waffles also be frozen" so that he can reheat them at home when his pregnant wife gets that sudden craving? After a few months of experimenting with more than 1000 recipes, and working some part-time shifts at his favourite Hong Kong egg waffle shop, David finally created the perfect product. It has the right crispy shell and fluffy center texture after just an quick heat up in either a toaster or an oven. The product was created by keeping in mind that whatever his wife eats, it will also go directly to the baby. The finest and most simple ingredients were selected for the recipe. No preservatives and coloring were added. David even blended his own mix of ALUMINUM FREE baking powder.
