Community Care of the Northeast
www.communitycarenephila.orgCommunity Care of the Northeast provides has served the Philadelphia PA community since 1985. In the early 1980s, Jean E Langenbach, RN, BS, realized that the elderly poor and persons with disabilities were in need of services to age safely in their homes. The agency began operations in Holmesburg Methodist Church, moving first to a Presbyterian church and then to 8015 Frankford Avenue before taking residence in 2008 at our current site on Welsh Road. Remaining faith-based and considering the whole person (body, mind, spirit), Community Care of the Northeast provides services without regard to religious affiliation. The intent is to enable the vulnerable elderly who are at significant risk of institutionalization to maintain their independence and quality of life for as long as possible.
