Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies is one of the oldest higher educational institutions in Ukraine, the development of which is closely connected with the history of Odessa and its industrial infrastructure. The geographical position of Odessa has left a strong imprint on the structure of industry, characterized by a great variety of industries. Here there were various enterprises associated with the production of products for export and processing of imported raw materials. Today ONAHT is one of the largest universities in Ukraine, which includes four research and educational institutes: • M.V. Lomonosov Educational – Scientific Technological Institute of Food Industry; • Educational-scientific institute of computer systems and technologies "Industry 4.0"; • G.E. Weinstein Educational & Scientific Institute of Applied Economics and Management; • V.S. Martynovsky Institute of Refrigeration, Cryotechnologies and Ecoenergy; four colleges: • Mechanical and Technological Professional College • Professional College of oil and gas Technology, Engineering and Service Infrastructure • Professional College of Industrial Automation and Information Technology • Odessa Technical Professional College The academy has 4 research and educational institutes, which unite 10 faculties, the academy is a full member of 13 permanent International organizations. Up to 11 international conferences are held annually at the academy. Specialists not only from Ukraine but from many countries of the world take part in them. This testifies to the recognition of ONAHT scientific schools.
