African Roots Wine (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black woman-owned wine company, founded in 2005 by Vivian Kleynhans. It is the holding company for Seven Sisters Wines, the Brutus Family Reserve Range and assumes the operational role on Seven Sisters Vineyards. African Roots Wine’s core aim is to allow a population group access to opportunities previously unattainable. Our story and purpose is about sharing local insights and giving local communities further opportunities as our brand and reputation grow. The Seven Sisters wine label was established in 2005. The Brutus family acquired Seven Sisters Vineyards in 2009 and the Brutus Family Reserve Range, produced from grapes planted at Seven Sisters Vineyards was established in 2016.
