After building his “Washington Family Empire,” Gerald Washington committed his life to using his leadership, innovation, and business acumen to empower others to move beyond being just another entrepreneur to become their own empire builder. His passion for business and entrepreneurship didn’t start when Gerald was partner and president of Steve Harvey World Group, partner and president of East 112th Street Productions, and president of the Steve Harvey Radio Network. Nor did it start when he launched a boutique real estate company with his now wife, Patrice that would become a multi-million dollar real estate empire by his mid-20s. His ability to spot missed opportunities and become the solution to someone else’s problem began when he launched a 5-figure candy business in high school and generated enough income to buy a car. It carried through to his time at Occidental College where he founded a marketing company promoting national concert tours and counted major brands such as Coca-Cola among its clients. Gerlad's Atlanta-based Driveway Productions provides entertaining programming that tell the types of powerful, culture driven, complex, perspective based, impactful stories viewers crave. He serves as a board member and partner of Atlanta/LA-based Lion Capital Investments, where he and his team tackle residential/commercial real estate investments and franchise development opportunities globally. Gerald was the partner/president of Steve Harvey World Group, partner and president East 112th Street Productions, and president of the Steve Harvey Radio Network, where he led business development, production, and operations, securing partnerships and endorsement deals with household names such as T-Mobile, Ford, State Farm, NBC, ABC, Fox and BET. Through his leadership, the Steve Harvey World Group tripled in revenue and grew by 65 percent.
