The MBA Response
www.mbaresponse.orgThe MBA Response (formerly MBAs Fight COVID-19) was founded by Harvard Business School Class of 2020 students who wanted to find ways for their peers to bring their skills to communities that were struggling because of COVID-19. The startup non-profit matches individuals or teams of current MBA students to organizations in need, typically small businesses, non-profits, and other mission-driven organizations. Since the spring, The MBA Response has broadened its mission – they are now focused on building capacity in under-resourced organizations and creating a generation of business leaders who serve. The organization comprises 1200+ students from 20 schools who have supported 1700+ organizations, of which 70%+ are minority-owned. The founders believe that when top MBA talent joins organizations that don't traditionally have access to it, both sides benefit. Students have skills in budgeting, data crunching, outreach to stakeholders, strategic planning, research, project management, and more. Projects can range from a one-time ask for a single student to a multi-hour/week commitment from a larger team of students. All projects are pro bono.
