Anthea was founded in 1992 by Dr. Vincent Paul, a reputed scientist, who, prior to starting Anthea, had done post-doctoral stints in Columbia and Johns Hopkins, before returning to India to join the erstwhile Hindustan Lever (now Unilever India) Research Centre in Mumbai. Reflecting the values of our founder, Anthea is highly Research Driven. Our R&D expertise coupled with lean manufacturing enable us to develop, produce and supply products of the finest quality. The Anthea Group consists of three group companies, Anthea Aromatics, DRT-Anthea Aroma Chemicals and Catàsynth Speciality Chemicals, manufacturing a range of products which cater to the Fragrance & Flavour, Pharmaceutical and Agrochemical industries. Anthea believes in growth through partnerships, which is reflected in our group companies DRT-Anthea Aroma Chemicals, established in 2008 as a 50:50 joint venture with DRT France (now part of Swiss multinational, Firmenich) and Catàsynth Speciality Chemicals, a joint venture with Solvay (Belgium) set up in 2020. In 2016, ICICI Venture Funds Management Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of ICICI Bank, invested in Anthea to partner in its future growth plans.
