We are a non-profit organization that helps homeless veterans. Aid Our Veterans is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to help homeless and out of work veterans. Many of our veterans have returned to the civilian world only to find a lack of jobs in a changing world. When looking for help, too many slip through the cracks, and end up homeless or unemployed. We offer a number of programs designed to provide aid to any veteran who may need help, most notably housing, job training and placement assistance. Our efforts and goals include: • Acquire houses to be renovated as shelters for homeless veterans, (Dependent upon grant funding) • Support veteran shelters throughout the US. • Work with VA hospitals to place homeless veterans in shelters and find emergency bedding • Find job training and work placement assistance • Provide aid in the form of food, clothing, and furnishing on a case-by-case basis • Provide emergency assistance with critical items such as rent, heating bills and medical costs • Help place donated vehicles with veterans in need of transportation for work • Put veterans to work doing community outreach and fund raising • Help coordinate counseling when needed • Coordinate visits to VA hospitals and rehabilitation centers • Provide activities and junkets for veterans to be active in
