Gender Matters is a management consultancy which advises businesses and universities on gender issues. Its vision is the equitable career development of both female and male staff. By addressing cognitive bias and increasing gender diversity, these organisations can improve their operational effectiveness, corporate image and success. Gunilla Burrowes and Mark Toner are passionate advocates for gender equity in business and advise organisations on how to operate more effectively through greater gender diversity. They do this by: - Discussing gender issues with boards and management and suggesting to them new policies and actions - Making presentations to female and male staff members on gender issues, male/female differences and explaining how to play the “corporate game” - Running workshops for staff to develop new insights and skills for career development - Providing training in cognitive bias and ways to mitigate both conscious and unconscious bias so that gender bias is reduced. Gunilla and Mark offer a unique approach to organisation development, aimed at the equitable career development of female staff.
