In 2002, in Chişinău, the lawyer Igor Popa founded the consultancy company Consult Grup SRL. In 2006, the company's number of employees reached over 10 people with qualifications in various areas of business consultancy: lawyers, accountants, financial experts. In 2007, the company's portfolio comprises more than 50 local and foreign companies. In 2008, the legal department of the Consult Group set up the law firm Popa and Associates, specialized in business law. In 2010, Popa and Associates reached 3 partners and 17 lawyers and became one of the largest lawyers in the Republic of Moldova. In the same year, the company entered the German market, opening an office in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
