Created in 2012, the Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC) is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYC Parks), improving New York City’s 10,000 acres of forest, marshes and wetlands to enhance the lives of all New Yorkers. We work to foster urban resilience through natural resource management, research, and community engagement throughout New York City.
